DOS MODE ERROR.
I AM A NEW MACBOOK USER. I tried to install applications like winrar but my mac keeps saying that it can not run the program in dos mode. PLEASE ADVICE. Thanks.

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
You cannot run Windows applications or utilities directly in Mac OS X. To run a Windows app you will need to either run Windows in an emulator like VMware Fusion, Parallels or Virtual Box or inside a BootCamp partition as a separate volume.
