Which iPhone 4 -- 16GB or 32GB ?

I've reserved a 16GB iPhone 4 and I can live with that. . . maybe. This will be my first iPhone and, looking around, I'm beginning to think that I'll be loading it up with lots of stuff. Question is: will the 16GB be sufficient? What does your experience say?

Input, please. Thanks in advance.

I have a 16GB Iphone 2g and my phone is mostly full and I have a ton of songs and pics on there. I also have 2 full movies on there. I have about 1 or 2 gB left. I ordered the 32GB iphone 4 b/c I will only have more and more stuff on the phone over time. 16GB might be fine for most people. You may have to keep movies off your phone and you should be good b/c those take the most space.

Don't listen to bbafett, he doesn't know what he's talking about, haha!!

Kidding.

Basically, it's always best to have more than what you think you'll need. I have about 900 songs, 750 pictures, 2 movies, and about 5 pages of Apps on my iPod touch 16GB, and it's only got 3GB of free space available. I went with the 32GB iPhone because I knew I'd need the data.

It's a $100 difference between the two, definitely worth the cushion of having the extra room. Don't wanna settle for the 16GB, and 3 months later say "darn, wish I would've gotten the 32GB". Good luck!! 😉

Actually Gator it may be more wallet size limiting than anything else but as mentioned earlier for the extra 100 bucks you are getting quite a deal as far as storage space goes. I have always opted for the lesser of available space with each of my iphones other than this go round simply due to the fact that i tend to use my iTunes as a data warehouse and load and go as needed. With the added functionality in the i4 and its ability to shoot HD video now i chose to go with the 32 this time for a little added piece of mind.

I opt for the 32g this time around. When I bought my first iPhone, 3G the 16g was the most I could get. I have crammed apps, videos and pics and used up every bit of the 16g. My biggest space hog is a Navigon app. FWIW, the extra $100 is money well spent for me. So I hope the 32g will do the trick.

My wife on the other hand has a 3GS with 32g and has barely reached 10g in space.

You haven't given us nearly enough data about your various habits to make this decision for you. But since you asked, I think you may be making a very big mistake not getting the 32 gb. I did. You may suddenly decided to do something that will require a lot of space, and you won't have it. Switch to the 32, even if you have to wait to get it. You won't regret it.

I still have the original 8 gig iphone and still have about 2 gigs of free space. I keep all my photos on my mobileme account and access them via the Gallery App. That saves me a lot of space.

Now that Apple has added the feature to re-encode music files to 128 from itunes to an iphone, ipod, itouch that helps out as well.

So, to answer your question I went ahead and ordered the 16 gig for myself and when the white version is available I'm grabbing the 32 gig for my wife and then convince her that all she needs are 16 gigs hahahah
