Agree to terms and conditions or iPhone 4 order canceled?

Hello all,

I just spoke with someone from Apple and he said I should have received an email to accept the iPhone terms and conditions. And if these are not agreed to the order is automatically canceled. The thing is I never received the email, I got my order in on the 15th and it says delivery for the 24th. So he took me to the site and I put in the info. He gave me the sales order number which is different than the web order number on the receipt. And after I put it in it says "Your order cannot be found. Please make sure you have entered the info correctly or contact Apple". So he said he's not exactly sure why it isn't working but it could be because they haven't fully processed my order for that step yet. Anyhow, my question is has anyone else received this email? The address is below.

He said if I don't get the email in a day or2 to call them back or AT&T.

This http://abs.apple.com/tcat/ looks a bit flaky for an Apple url.

My order page says it will be delivered on June 24. I'm satisfied.

I'm an existing customer. I asked him if it mattered because I already have iPhones. Dude said it didn't matter though everyone should get one. Not sure if it's true but e did say that.

So the guy told you that you had to agree to the terms or else your order would be canceled, and then he told you everyone will get one anyway and not to worry about it?

If that's what you're saying, you're not making a lot of sense to me. No disrespect.

Yeah but that's the site he gave me. Not sure why an Apple customer service rep would give a "flaky" url. But anyhow, I just want to see who got one, especially those who's status now says "prepared for shipment".

No he did not tell me to not worry about it. He said everyone should get one and if I don't get one to call them or AT&T back to see is there anything wrong. See the last line in the first post. Please read the entire post because it makes perfect sense if you read it. Thanks.

Just for the record, I'm not saying he was correct. Just want to see who else has seen an email about this. First time I heard of it. I thought you get the order acknowledgement and then your next email is when it's shipped.

Did you call Apple or did they call you? Did you order through AT&T? Didn't they (AT&T) have a security glitch in the early portion of the first day where people could see other people's accounts? Maybe someone saw your invoice and decided to scam you?

If that's true then Apple has big problems if people from 1800 MY APPLE are giving out websites that are phishing scams.

I just talked to an Apple Rep and he told me that the Terms and Conditions email will be sent to you immediately if that is what is stopping you from getting your iphone delivered. He said if you try to get the email sent to you by the website and it doesn't work, its probably because they haven't sent you it or you have already agreed. But like i said if thats what stopping your phone from being shipped then it will be sent to you immediately.

That is what is so strange about your condition. At the bottom of that order ack should be a paragraph that states you have already agreed to the AT&T terms and conditions...at least the paragraph is at the bottom of both of my order acks.

I agree and it is there which is why I found it strange that they said I should have received an email for it. When in fact you agree to the terms upon ordering it. It's so stupid.
