XQuartz

I would like to use Inkscape and it requires installing XQuartz. I don't know anything about it, but I'd like to know that it's safe.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

This is the correct forum. Inkscape works fine. You don't have to download anything (other than Inkscape, of course) to use it.

They are using Xquartz as a synonym for X11, which Apple provides.

Be sure to update Apple's X11 to the latest version that comes with 10.5.X.
