Time Capsule & Xbox 360 via ethernet

Hi

I have a Time Capsule connected to my modem wireless, I can access the internet over WiFi on my mac without issues.
When I connect my Xbox 360 to the router via ethernet it will not allow me to connect to Xbox live.
According to some forums people are able to connect their TC with XBOX 360. I can connect to xbox live if I directly plug it into my modem, so it is not anything to do with XBOX itself.

Does anybody has experience with that stuff?

In the current network configuration with the Time Capsule (TC) connected directly to the wireless modem, is the TC configured as a bridge? i.e., AirPort Utility > Manual Setup > Internet > Internet Connection > Connection Sharing = Off (Bridge Mode)

If you mean that you cannot select Manual Setup, temporarily connect an ethernet cable from your Mac to one of the LAN <-> ports on the Time Capsule and this will usually allow AirPort Utility to "see" the device.

Once you have the device reconfigured and updated, you can disconnect the ethernet cable.

Hello,

I can select Manual Setup.

But I still do not know what options I need to change to connect time capsule with my XBOX to use XBOX live.

According to some users on the internet that is possible.

If your TC is configured as a bridge, there are no setting necessary on the TC as its NAT feature is disabled. Any configuration changes to support XBox LIVE! would have to be done on the wireless router.

Are you sure?
I am able to connect my XBOX with my wireless router. That works very good.

But I am not able to realise a connection between my XBOX 360 and my TC. So probably I have to change some configurations on my TC, right? Maybe it is a problem with my IP or DHCP configurations? I have the same problems with my Media Player ASUS O!Play HDP-R1. With wireless router I can connect the media player via ethernet to the internet but it does not work with Time Capsule.

I am really frustrated. I don't get it.

How is the TC connected to the wireless modem? That is, is it connected by Ethernet or wireless? If connected by wireless, the TC's Ethernet ports will NOT be enabled.

I am using wlan to connect TC and router/wireless modem.
Im not sure if the wireless ports of TC are disabled. The status on XBOX is, that it is wired but with TC/an ethernet connection but not able to connect to the internet/XBOX live et cetera. So probably something is somehow blocking the connection.

There isn't anything blocking the connection that you can "un-block."

Unless the other wireless router is another AirPort or TC, you will not be able to wirelessly connect to this router with the TC ... except as a wireless client. As a client, the TC's Ethernet ports are not enabled for Internet access.
