I couldn't get Aperture to play any video after upgrading to Lion.  Even supported video didn't play.  Then I saw a tip to uninstall 3Divix. Once I uninstalled that, everything worked perfectly again!

i'm having the same issue.  i'm surprised, and disappointed, that neither itunes or iphoto would address this.  it undermines the seemlessness of the mac and ios devices.  again, disappointed.

I have the same problem, I dont know how to fix it,    after Job left the office, apple is getting cancer.

I found it!  any time the capacity goes over 50% this problem happens,

I uncheck some folders from librey to bring the capacity lest than 50% and then all video has been transferd ,

now my free storage is 30 GB from 60 GB iPad ,

so now i have all video on my iPad

yes, done , I have conected the ipad to itune then befor give me new error to stop syncing, i uncheced few photo folders quickly then "apply" and keep syncing  nicely ,   that is it.

Even if it is the 50% capacity issue, this means that any new videos won't get synced unless you un-sync some folders, sync the new videos, then sync the old folders you un-synced.  Which is not an ideal solution at all.

I am running into this same issue; videos that are in a .m4v file using the H.264 codec will not sync over to my iPhone 4S.  282 of 293 videos sync over, but the last 11 will not sync.  All the videos are in the same format and they all play back in Aperture, iTunes, and QuickTime just fine.

In iphoto select your device and then select Photos I understand that your Sync Photos from album is selected, under that there is a check box Include videos check this and it should sync the video file.

    I hope this helps

Genius App (photosync) totaly worth th 2 $!!!! thanks for the tip. worked right away no problems.

  • Jake- Idaho Level 1 (0 points)

dr ezzi, please tell us about your experiance with photosync and transfering video, from the reviews of the app and just can't quite tell if it is going to work like I need it to.

  • mrbofus Level 1 (5 points)

    @dr ezzi:

Please, do let us know; from the app's website, it doesn't specify where the videos go...can we transfer them to the correct event in the Photos app or does it go into the Photosync app?

Incredible...   It will complete almost two years from the original post of this top, and not only the problem is still not solved as we didnt hear a single word from Apple about this. Not even a satisfaction or a "we're looking into it".

Apple, you should care more about your costumers, specially now that the opensource community is growing fast, and your competitors are going with the flow, while on your side, you're still holding up to maintain it all under your big umbrella. Yes, you can do that and could survive with that, as long as you would be listening to your costummer's issues. But that doesn't seem lile the case, uh?

You better act quickly, or your costummers will move faster then you.

  • mrbofus Level 1 (5 points)

iOS 5.1 does not seem to have fixed this issue.

  • Abstractart Level 1 (0 points)

No it doesn't. I was really hoping it would.

It is so annoying to be able to import a wonderful video via the Camera Connector Kit but when you try to import the very same video by way of iPhoto you get nothing. The iPad can obviously play these videos! 1080,960,720 at any frame rate, no problem. Just don't try to import again with iPhoto.

    Come on Apple!
