thank you for your response. sorry but i dont get it, the image still there on mail apps and i see no symbol/sign on top right corner indicate 'open in ibooks'. when i tap and hold on the image, 2 options pop up: "save image" and "copy". fire up ibooks and its not there. :/
Ok, so just updated and got the ibooks. But no PDF. No PDF tab IN the ibooks. The PDF dont even open threw email anymore... So that *****! Especially since all my class material is threw PDF and now I just cant open them anymore.
So.. anyone now what PDF formats are supported threw ibooks?
You need to copy PDF files into iTunes, under Books. After a sync, they'll become visible for synchronization.
Generally, it's compatible with about 70-80% of PDF's out there as it's based on the same PDF engine as older PDF readers. I'm compiling a compatibility list.
I have the latest version of iTunes with iBooks, and it doesn't have anywhere to drag PDF files into iTunes. Where are you seeing this? I tried every imaginable PDF, include a text document, I printed to PDF from textedit, then dragging it into the pane of grayed out books in iTunes.
For me it didn't work, I don't think that Stanza or any other reader is the problem. Is so annoying that I can not read a downloaded pdf from my mail if I have iBooks installed. Crappy bug
Yes, this is a complete disaster... I used to be able to open pdfs sent by e-mail (and I used it all the time) and now I can barely see page 1 of the pdf, which has been converted into an image!!!
Are we doing something wrong or is this a real bug?
I've noticed that the same pdf stored in iDisk and opened on the iPhone goes nicely into the bookshelf, so it has nothing to do with the file itself...
transfer stanza stuff to your ibooks? cos free stuff on stanza such as gutenberg project are on ibooks store too. i dont know how many percent of stanza books on ibooks but i downloaded quite a few free gutenberg stuff yesterday
