update button grayed out in itunes, can't d/l ios 4
the check for update and restore buttons are grayed out in itunes. is there anything i can do?
3gs, iPhone OS 3.1.3
Make sure iTunes is up to date. It needs to be at least version 9.2.

Sounds like you don't have iTunes 9.2...which is required to update to iOS4
i do have 9.2, but i just found out from a coworker that certain features on itunes have been blocked for security reasons. dangit, i'll have to wait another 2 hours until i get home.
