Lost Camera App after Update

Hello,

Not sure if anyone else had this problem, but I lost my camera app (the original that came with the phone) when I updated the phone (3GS). I have no restrictions on my phone.

On another note, I tried using another application (qik video) and it doesn't even recognize that a camera is there.

Anyone have any advice?

Thanks!

Hi I have the same problem!

After the update to iOS4 (iPhone 3G) I moved all my camera apps into a folder named 'photography' and the naitive camera app has disapeared! I have tried restore and it came back, but went when I synced to my iPhone backup.

Just read this thread and tried the 'restore home screen layout' but still nowhere to be seen! Have tried searching spotlight for it and nothing!

Please Help! None of my other camera apps work without it.

Thanks
Simon

PS: Sorry for hi-jacking the thread.

I also lost my Camera App, along with everything else on my phone...email addresses, phone numbers, Notes...when I updated with the Ios4 software. My backup failed during the process and, ironically, the computer with my previous backup, had crashed 2 days before.

Nevertheless, regarding the camera app, Chixie's directions above restored my Camera app!! I went into Settings on my phone and followed his/her directions from there. Easy...thanks!!:) Now, finding and re-entering all my 400+ phone numbers, that's a different story:(
