apps from iphone to iTunes

I synch my phone from my MacBook Pro. But... It looks like I have a bunch of apps that i downloaded on the imac at home that are on my phone but not in iTunes on the laptop. How do i get the apps that are on the phone onto the laptop so i can synch everything here. Right now I am synching apps from the iMac and everything else from the MacBook.

PowerBook G4 17, Mac OS X (10.4.2)

If your apps were purchased from the same iTunes account they should synch to iTunes. If not, you can just redownload them at no charge

This just happened to me.....

In iTunes, File>Transfer Purchases from iPhone. That should populate your Apps library in iTunes with the content on your phone. From there, you can click on your phone, the Apps tab, and the list available to sync should mirror what's on the phone. However, one annoying thing is that any visual organization of apps you've moved on your phone will not carry over. So, all the time you spent on making new folders (like me) prior to the sync will be wiped and you have to start over.....stupid Apple.
