No Bluetooth Keyboard for iPhone 3G?

I can't get my Apple keyboard to show up as a pairable device on my 3G running iOS4.

Why didn't they just list the 2 features that would work for the 3G (Mailbox & Folders), nothing else seems to work.

Yeah, that lack was finally revealed in the release notes, I skipped them of course when iOS4 downloaded. I read over it more carefully when I downloaded the OS for our touch (which I haven't upgraded yet, BTW.)

On the other hand, this upgrade seems to have disabled my bluetooth COMPLETELY so I can't use my headset anymore-- I can't even find my headset in pairing mode. When I turn on BT I can't even find my iPod Touch nor any other BT devices that at least used to show up on the list of bluetooth stuff that I also couldn't connect to! So very quickly this became the least of my problems...

I have an Iphone 3G as well, and I think this limitation is ludicrous. There is no reason the 3G could not support a simple BT keyboard. I've been wanting some type of physical keyboard since I bought the 3G. Now it's supported but "oh not for you sir, we recommend you buy a new phone". F'n ridiculous. Downloading redsn0w now...
