can someone please tell me what to do? I just got my iphone 3gs today and i am trying to activate it, but it keeps saying please try later :/ iam bit confuzzed on what to do!

    Im the same mate got mine this morning and all day and still says 'We are unable to complete your activation at this time - reconnect it later...bla bla

    If its the same tomorow im taking mine back and getting a refund 1st day and already pi$$ed with apple..

    omg lol im having the same problem got it today and im on a 24 month contract! so theres no going back now...please can someone help. ive already rang apple and tried to get an answer on how to fix it but they didnt have a fkin clue either and it charged me a bomb not happy apple...not happy at all...

    i am having the exact same problem. perhaps the network is struggling? the good news is that your phone is covered under warrenty and your statutory rights as if it will not register it is not fit for purpose so you dont need to worry about getting your money back. which still leaves me phoneless, but small mercies!

    I have the same problem, got the phone this morning and can't even use it as can't activate it, called my network who said try again later, so did that nothing 3 hours later, then called apple at a premium rate, some girl sounded like she didn;t have a clue what day it was never mind about iphones, she said try your network again(useless) so left it around 8 hours and the same problem. I called the network again and the guy told me that so many ppl are having the same problem and that i am not alone, its something to do with the IOS4 which has crashed the servers at apple and that we should try first thing in the morning when america sleeps! so will try that but is not a great start to my apple life, not happy at all!

    well i have been trying all day and still am as im really eager to use it :P i really hope it starts working tomorrow but if it doesnt well im totally confused on what to next because im not going to ring apple back as all they seem to do is drag the conversation on to make me waste more money. i hope someone finds some way to sort it out!

    I have had the same all day, and my network said it was the the new iphone software causing the server to overload, great, as they can still make their money from you, on itunes etc...was told it could take days. funny how google can take millions of hits a second, and apple cant release software thats been planned for months without messing it up. Really upset with apple, i have many products from them and they just seem to be selling out now to the hype.
