Why is there no option for home screen wallpapers on the 3G? What a f'ing jip...

hardware restrictions. I remember at some point 1 year or more ago when issues were reported by people who jailbroke the 3G and put a desktop wallpaper on the phone that it killed performance. So it has to be in that same line of thinking when apple decided to exclude that feature from an aging phone.

Memory issue: iPhone 2G and 3G = 128mb RAM, iPhone 3GS = 256mb RAM, iPhone 4 = 512mb RAM
Not enough to offer the option with everything else packaged with iOS4.
Here is a link showing what is disabled on the 3G: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4204
Wow a simple wallpaper is to much for a 128mb "revolutionary phone?" O well I will have the new one in a few months I guess.
