My macbook was working fine until I left town a couple of weeks ago. I shut it down (which I rarely do) and unplugged it from the power source. When I pushed the power button today, no start up chime, blank screen, but I could hear the hard drive spin for a minute or so and then spin down and I still hear what sounds like the fan. I tried all the fixes suggested in Article: TS1365 to no avail. I stuck my diskwarrier CD into the drive, but although it spun for a while, nothing happened when holding down the "C" key (actually when I tried to do routine maintenance a few months ago, I couldn't boot up from that or the original Mac install discs either, but then forgot about it.) and pushing the eject button does nothing. Any ideas?
You did not say that you have reconnected the power adapter, or that your Mac is now fully charged, and the light on the power adapter has turned green.
If having it fully charged does not allow it to power on, try a power manager reset. (remove power adapter, remove battery, press and hold startup button, wait five seconds, restore battery and power adapter, attempt to start again, repeat if necessary.)
The indicator is green and battery is charged. I tried your suggestion of a power manager reset a couple of times, in the order you described, but the problem persists unfortunately.
