Just tested with my Pioneer H/U in my other car, it has iPod USB connection that works perfectly with my wife's IOS3.x 3Gs, but won't do a thing with my IOS4
2008 Acura RDX bluetooth phone connection not working after iOS4 upgrade (figured I'd add mine since maybe Apple people read this and see how it's not just one type of car...)
I too have a 207 with bluetooth connection (or not as the case is now!)
Mine used to pick up my Iphone as soon as I turned the key but now it doesn't. I've tried to manually connect through the phone which works occasionally but is very hit and miss.
I've had the phone connection stick before and had to wait for the automatic shutdown of the car - peugeot were baffled and blamed my Denson ipod connection.
I'm thinking it's got to be the IO4 update cos it worked before. Grr
Surely someone must know how to fix it?
I have a Parrot 3200 LS bluetooth hands free unit in the car. Pre-iOS4.0, my iPhone 3G connected flawlessly to it and synced all contacts. Under iOS4.0 the iPhone 3G no longer syncs contacts with the Parrot. I have removed each device from the others' bluetooth lists numerous times and have checked the sync contacts settings in the iPhone. Everything is as it should be, and as it was pre-iOS4.0.
iOS4.0 is broken - Apple, please do something about this.
I have the same problem with ISO4 software on a 3GS. Bluetooth keeps connecting and disconnecting on a Jaguar XF. This is starting to sound like a widespread problem with this update. I hope a new release is provided soon.
I can only suggest reverting your phone back to iOS3.1.3. I just did this for my 3G, now bluetooth is working perfectly.
Of course it's a trade-off for those of you with 3GSs - is wallpaper and folders worth the loss of bluetooth? Of course there's hardly anything new for 3G phones in iOS4.0, so that's a no-brainer.
Bluetooth phone connectivity worked worked flawlessly for the 4 years I've owned this car. Then for a day or two after updating to iOS4 the sound quality was terrible and wasn't working properly. Now all of the sudden the car says that no devices are connected even after I try to reconnect them.
Very aggravating with the new law passed here in our state recently related to using a cell phone while driving.
I've got a 2010 Toyota Venza. The OS 3.1 worked fine with Bluetooth and USB audio. Now that I've upgraded to OS4, this is the message I get on the radio. I've tried everything to get it to work. What a bummer!!
please help I have a iphone 3g and with all os also the new os4 the bluetooth suck
in all forums say that a2dp work fine bla, bla, bla... but enyone say how they didit, maybe i'm stupid but never i see an iphone working with bluetooth speakers, I have a noland ncom 103 helmet and before the os4 i can use the bluetooth ONLY for answer the phone and with the new os4 is imposible to pair the helmet not mention the a2dp that, for me still being a total myth
first i think is my helmet that doesn't work but when i try with an Nokia phone the pairing run smooth also for vice calling and to listen music.
i forgot i have an apple bluetooth keyboard (the oldest white) and, again... is impossible to pair in the iphone and on the ipad
please I beg, can anyone teel me how i do for this crap work???
I also started having problems with bluetooth right after upgrading my iPhone 3G to iOS4. I could still connect but I could no longer control the volume. It's full blast all the time which means that I really can't use it anymore. Also people on the other end of the call could barely hear me. Really strange...and then I bought the iPhone 4. The bluetooth problems that I had with the 3G phone are exactly the same as those that I'm having with the new iPhone 4.
I am having similar issues and tried everytrick I can find. IP4, connected to a 2009 Toyota Bluetooth system. Worked flawlessly with my 3G.
I have erased all settings, rebooted phone, tried every way of pairing. Phone is always in a plastic holder 3 inches from stero or in cup holder. Result, static for the other end. No one can hear me and my calls get s garbeled and fade in and out. I hear just fine.
My 1G and 3G all work great, but not the iPhone 4.
I have not yet contacted Apple. I keep hoping I will find a solution on these boards.
All of the above happened on my Peugeot 207 GTI 2006 with my iphone 3GS after upgrade to IOS4. Additionally, during incoming calls there is no audible ringing (just the car display indicates the call).
In the phone directory the names are jammed, the numbers display OK.
The loud annoying sound that occured twice in my case could only be stopped by taking out the Radio Fuse.
