Organize by thread not working as it should

Hi,
The "Organize by thread" in iOS 4.0 is not working as it should. Some emails under the same email chain do get organized and others just gets mixed up within threads. The same emails on my Mac gets organized perfectly fine. No issues at all. Anyone with the same issue?

I'm having the same problem. In fact none of the emails on my new iPhone4 seem to be threading. I'm using IMAP to access my Gmail. These email thread just fine in Gmail and in Mail on Snow Leopard.

How does the Mail app decide what to thread? Is it based on subject line or something else?

Am I missing something?

I think it groups depending on the Subject if I am not wrong. I also realized that senders name is as well counting to some extent. Makes no sense, just trying out some new things

In my case I've got tons of messages from the same sender with the same subject. They are all being treated as separate "threads". In fact, the threading doesn't seem to be working at all for me.

Yup not working for me also. I have 2 Gmail accounts setup using Exchange Activesync. None of the emails with same subjects are threading. hmm...

Thanks. Not sure why they did not want it to thread using subjects and rely on replies to thread. Sounds stupid to me when Gmail and their Mail app does it correctly.

I have a set of emails where in the replies to threads as well do not work correctly. Conversations on different subjects as well get mixed up. They didnt do it right here.
