I have a macbook pro that has a DVI mini port. I would like to hook up this computer to two monitors so i can have extra screen space. Each monitor has to be connected via VGA.
Not that I'm aware of, but you can do some Google searching. Does your Macbook Pro happen to have an ExpressCard slot? if it does I believe you can find an ExpressCard that does support two monitors. Not sure it would be any less expensive.
Your post has appeared in the Mac Pro (Tower) section. I originally answered this question for The Mac Pro, sorry if you got the earlier answer by email.
Your MacBook Pro will support its Built-in screen used at the same time as an external display. Each can be part of an Extended Desktop, and they can be arranged using the System Preferences > Displays once the external display is present.
My son uses this set-up with a larger display behind and up on a slight pedestal, so that it is elevated above the top of the opened MacBook. It works really nicely.
