iphone keeps asking for voicemail password after ios4 update?

I updated to ios4 on my iphone 3gs. The only quirk that I haven't been able to fix is that it asks for my voicemail password every time I go into the phone app. I don't have a voicemail password and I don't want one. Any thoughts on how to get this to stop?

iphone 3gS, Mac OS X (10.2.x)

i'm getting that same issue...i just clicked cancel...i looked everywhere in the settings but nothing to help this matter

The AT&T voicemail system is configured by default not to ask for a password when you check your voicemail from the handset, but the password is required. Your default password should be the last 4 digits of your phone number. Try that & see if that fixes your problem.

That happened to me too. I followed the prompt via ATT automated system to reset password, got an immediate test with the new password, then entered it. Solved.

Ah - thanks! I remembered that password, typed it in, and I haven't been asked for it since. I also got two voicemails from yesterday that I didn't know I had 🙂
