UI Element Inspector

UI Element Inspector

I can't see the UI Element Inspector! I downloaded the "Sample Code" from here:

Launched the UIElementInspector.app but got nothing on the screen (nor any menus). What's the secret?

Running 10.5.8. Occasional user of AppleScript. Need to click some buttons in iMovie 09 at a certain time/while away. iMovie not directly scriptable. Trying UI scripting instead.

Any help greatly appreciated!

You downloaded version 1.4 of UIElementInspector, which requires Mac OS X 10.6.

Thanks Pierre. Where might I find a prior version that works with 10.5.8?

I really don't know where you could find UIElementInspector 1.3.

However, you could use the Accessibility Inspector instead. In Mac OS X v10.4 and later, Apple provides the Accessibility Inspector testing tool in /Developer/Applications/Utilities/Accessibility Tools.
