Just got iPhone 4 - How do I get my contacts on the new phone?

I understand the SIM cards do not match up to the new microSIMs in the ip4. I am currently using the 2G. I have the new ip4 but don't know how to get my contacts onto my new phone. Can anyone help? Do I just back up my old phone, then restore it to the new phone via iTunes?

Yes, exactly that. By restoring your latest back up of your 2G to the new iPhone 4, all of your contacts should be transported over.

Or besides backup and restore...if all you are concerned about is contacts, just sync old iPhone with computer and your address book that you have been syncing with so far. Thus all contacts are already in address book on computer. Thus can just sync your new phone to same address book.

That is why one should be syncing with a computer....so the COMPUTER is the primary place of your data.
