Deleting Everything in the Downloads Folder

Hi,
I just wanted to find out what happens when you delete everything in the "Downloads:" folder. Will the downloaded file still be there? Once I deleted a music file and stayed in my iTunes library, and I could play it, sync it and everything.

If it was copied somewhere else first, yes. iPhoto and iTunes do this on import by default.

Hi, you can do a trial download, then see where the d/load is located, use Spotlight.
Once you have verified the d/load is where you want it" you can delete the d/l from the d/l Folder..
Locate the d/l and see if it opens etc..if you are happy...a lesson learnt....L

If you delete things, they are deleted (into the Trashcan first, though).

iTunes will (by default) copy files that you load into it, into its own database. This is why you could delete the downloaded mp3 and still play the copy.
