hello...
i've recently donwloaded many fonts from dafont. i open the downloaded files, and install them into the font book... they're also in my library/fonts folder, ive even manually dragged them in...
however the fonts dont show up in any applications except TEXTEDIT that comes on the mac...
it doesnt show up in Word, Photoshop, etc...
on my older computer, once it was downloaded i just restarted the application, and the fonts were there....

how come they're not showing up in these applications?

please help!!

    Usually an indication that Font Book's database is damaged. Restart in Safe Mode (restart and hold down the Shift key). Log in to your account. The Mac will ask for this for Safe Mode even if there's only one account on the Mac. When it's done booting to the desktop in Safe Mode, restart again normally.

    All fonts will be active, regardless of their state beforehand. Also, any font collections you created will be gone.
