5G iPod have more white noise?

I agree with everyone else that the new iPods (with video) sound spectacular, much better than previous models. But, I've also noticed that my new iPod outputs more white noise when I have the earphones in my ears while the device is on, when no music is being played. This is really only noticeable in an absolutely silent room. Compared to my nano and other iPods, the 5G seems to "hiss" a little more.

Does anyone else's player exhibit this?
