iPod just disconnects during sync

I updated to iOS 4, just because the iBook app wanted 3.2, so I did an update and it was 4. Whatever, anyways, I was getting the error message during the restore, so I just deleted my backup. It seemed to be restoring everything fine, but now my 2nd Gen 32GB iPod touch will just disconnect during the sync. I've tried moving it to different USB ports to see if that helps, but it doesn't.

Anyone else having this problem???
