4 new iphones ALL have antenna problem, Proximity sensor, etc...

After receiving 4 new iPhones (family Plan) yesterday I activated (no problems) and right away calls start dropping. Calls that I made everyday from the same part of my house on my older 3G with no problem all of a sudden drop and or have bad connections. I have reproduced this problem with all 4 phones. Not to mention the number of times I put people on hold or mute with my cheek. Reception is horrible. Feel foolish after upgrading 4 phones to get this level of service. Apple has a phrase for people like me "good customer" Any thoughts... Oh forgot to mention that one of the phones will only accept the charger cord about 3/4 of the way into the socket thereby only charging some of the time!

I am having the exact same problem with mine. However luckily i only upgraded one phone on my family plan and not all 4. The bad news is that apple says they have no known proximity sensor issues and that the antenna issue is being worked on feverishly to resolve. They connected me to AT&T and r sending me a new SIM card for my iPhone 3G. Then I am sending my iPhone 4 back for repairs. I wish us all good luck.

I have same problem. I waited couple of days then went apple store. They exchanged my iphone 4. I am still having the same problem. I never had this problem. I think there is a serious problem with iphone 4 proximity sensor as well as reception problem. Now i always talk in speaker holding my phone. I am now seriously considering about returning iphone 4. I admit this is fantastic device. camera is great. looks great but what's the meaning if you can't make good call with your friends and family.

Seems likely. Anyway, I want to hear how this works:

"And I got 25 phones (ancestry plan) and every one of them works fine."

Does that result in calls from beyond the grave?

Stop it. Why the name-calling?

There are obvious OBVIOUS problems and people are looking for answers. Seriously, read the posts, watch the videos, look at the papers, --maybe a little CNN or Good Morning America thrown in for good measure.

Do you have a solution for the defect?
