How do you shut down apps (is there an app killer app)
I just got the iphone 4 and the battery is hurting. I think its bc so many apps are running? How to I shut down an app when I am done? Is there an app killer app (shuts down all apps) Thanks!
When you bring up the multi-tasking apps at the bottom from double clicking the home screen. Hold down one of he apps and a little red minus sign will appear next to them. You click on them and they close down.
Double-tab Home button brings up multi-task bar showing "running" apps. Hold finger down on one of the icons until all start to wiggle. A small red badge with minus sign appears in upper LH corner of icon. touch red badge and app is shut down.
the apps that you see in the app switcher are not really "still running" in the background. Think of it as a "Recently Used Apps" dock. Do remove them, press and hold them until some red badges appear on them, then remove them one by one.
With something like Pandora, if you are playing music in it and click the Home button, or switch to a different app, the App itself has it's state saved to Flash Memory. The music will continue to play, and when you go back to Pandora, it will restore the state it was in when you left it. If you listened to multiple songs before switching back to it, the app will reflect the changes that happened while it was in the background.
