iPhone 'HOME' button not working....

My 'home' button just suddenly stopped working. I upgraded to iOS4 wednesday evening at roughly 9.00pm, all seemed fine then at 4.30pm on thursday the home button ceased to function. I could not get out of the ipod without having to use the power button. I had to restart the phone to get back to the home screen, launch anything and I can't quit or get out without a restart. I Did reinstall to factory presets and stuff.... nothing. The 'home' button doesn't function at all. The phone is about two months old. Not a mark on it. In fact it's hardly been used. NOT IMPRESSED.

My HOME button has not only stopped working, my phone does not register as being charged when I plug it in! No little lightning bolt. When I plug it into my computer to back up settings (was going to reset) it doesn't even register as being plugged in!!
It is getting worse every day since I updated. At first it was just running slower, then home button stopped, today I can only make/receive calls using my bluetooth!!! It hasn't been dropped. I take VERY good care of it.
I did not update my daughters iphone and hers is working fine!!
Has anyone had theres fixed or spoken with an Apple rep yet?
