Jan 9, 2013 10:47 AM in response to whoknows7by Tanmoy29,to everyone for whom the fix didnt work or it was a recurrent problem, I guess if its outside the warranty period, just open the screw below, open the lid and near the motor of the vibrator is this small clear tape, just get rid of it and it would work hopefully..

Apr 26, 2013 2:21 PM in response to mrshinyteethby eyephone75,Thanks MrShinyTeeth! I followed your steps and my iPhone4 seems to have returned to normal vibrating operations. Hopefully it keeps vibrating consistently/correctly so that I can keep delaying the purchase of my next iPhone.

Oct 29, 2013 5:38 PM in response to Cobretti Cobraby CavAv8tr,Cobra...Not all the time. I tried it and it did not fix my problem.
The Tech Support Guys at Apple had not heard of the problem yet...offered to swap out the phone, which I am not sure I want to do over a possible software issue. The tech support guy I talked to said that he had "elevated the issue" and I gave him the link to this forum.
