Bluetooth Problems

Hey people,
I am having problems with my new iphone 4 bluetooth.
When i go into the setings and turn bluetooth on it just says Searching and has the "working" symbol, it never finds anything and yes i do have my bluetooth on other phone on.
Also the symbol for bluetooth never turns blue,(next to battery symbol).

It looks to me like the bluetooth is not turning on at all ?

Anyone else having this problem, can people check there's and report what you think.

Thanks

iphone 4, iOS 4

Having exactly the same problems. The person in the Vodafone shop said it was because apple have 'restricted' which devices the bluetooth connects to. Sounds like rubbish as my last iphone 3gs connected to all bluetooth devices. The phone does what other people have been saying - says it is searching and finds nothing. Vodafone won't take responsibility and neither will apple. Why on earth would you make or buy a phone that won't connect to, for example, my handsfree kit in my car. What should I do buy a new car? Come on apple / vodafone - you can do better.

It is NOT just the new iPhone - it is the new iPhone SOFTWARE 4.0 version!

My 3GS has never had a Bluetooth problem until this newest update. Now when I am in the car, my Bluetooth Sync drops off and reconnects numerous times a day. It is irritating to say the least and unnecessary.

So, Apple, it is also in the software, not just the iPhone 4 hardware!

In my case the problem is not the software (at least not the iOS4 running on an iPhone 3G). I updated my 3G to iOS4 and it still connects fine with my bluetooth earpiece (Jawbone Icon). But my iPhone 4 has not been able to connect with the Jawbone Icon. I've tried every imaginable thing including forgetting the Icon on the 3G, Turning off the 3G, Making sure the iPhone 4 is the only device that can pair with the Jawbone. Turning on and off the earpiece and restarting the iPhone. Other people are having the same exact problem. There is another thread covering this same issue. Based on my results, and others, the problem is with the new iPhone 4.

Ok, I got a different problem with the iphone 4. My bluetooth headset connects just fine, but the problem is the audio quality. With my Plantronic 975 connected, the audio goes to the receiver of the call muffled. And thinking it may be just me that has that problem? No, my GF has an iphone 4 as well, and the same bluetooth headset. And its happening to hers as well. I noticed it when she called me. My rocketfish stereo headphones for music works great, but the outgoing audio is really bat on the rocketfish. My theory about what is causing the problem is that that 2nd mic(for noise cancellation) is still active when using bluetooth, and in turn. The iphone tries to surpress your voice as you talk into the bluetooth, thus the muffled audio on the other end of the call. I hope that Apple would fix the issue quick. And, they also need to make my back and skip buttons work on my rocketfish headphones! I thought that issue was going to be fixed with iOS 4, but I guess that's not the case.

Is anyone from Apple going to reply to this issue?

Not here, this is a user to user forum. If you want a response from apple directly, maybe call apple support.
