Q: iPhone 4: Error 9 on Restore

While trying to restore my iPhone 4, I repeatedly get an Error 9.
I tried also on my PC to restore with no luck.
Has anyone ever encountered this problem and know how to get past it?

Hi there, Error 9 is more or less impossible to solve by your self.

I have read a lot of forum articles and it says that

    * "Something wrong with USB cable",

    * "you have to put the phone in DFU (Device Firmware Upgrade) mode"

    * "Download the application "Recboot" and it will solve the problem"

    * "Something is worng with a Samsung flash chip in the iPhone"

    Here is the simple answer:

There is no simple solution solution for this error (Error 9).

But it seems that some people had luck and fixed it with an iTunes sync or RecBoot.

If you are not one of these lucky guys you have to go a to a phone reseller and hopefully they can fix it by erasing the complete softwar in the phone and re-install everything from scratch.
