Time Machine Editor

Time Machine Editor

Despite a daily set up for backing up on my Time Capsule (using Time Machine Editor), my Time Machine has recently started backing up every hour or even more frequently.
Is there a fix for this ? Or is there a better software for automatic backup set up than Time Machine Editor ?

MacBook and iMac G5, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

if you're willing to dish out some $$, i recommend Cocktail, which is not only a great maintenance utility, but will also let you set TM intervals.

Have purchased the Cocktail . . . a bit disappointing as it seems that the max period between backups is 120 minutes ? For me, a daily backup would be sufficient.
But it seems to be a good software for other things, as well.

i have set my intervals to 240 minutes. just edit the field manually.

however, TM backups once a day is not a good choice for a decent backup routine, IMHO.

Well, you know what ? My TM is still doing what it wants, backing up about every hour or so, despite my settings in Cocktail (set at 300 minutes). What could be the issue here ?
