Share to YouTube in HD - I know how, but where is the temp file?

Hello,

I understand that when I "share" to YouTube iMovie makes a temporary file called "720p.mov" and then uploads that. (I see this filename on the YouTube My Videos page.)

But, 1. Where does iMovie save this temporary file?

2. What quality settings does it use when it does this? It does not use QuickTime, does it? It says it uses the H.264 codec, but what settings does it use for this codec? Also, which audio codec does it use? And with a constant or variable bit rate?

Many thanks!

MacBook Pro 17" September 2009, Mac OS X (10.6.4), iMovie '09

any Shared/Media Library movies are located inside the corresponding Project-file - in Finder, ctrl/click on any/choose 'show package'/Movies ..

sure it does, QT is the underlying 'engine' for any media in MacOs, stills, audio, VR, video ..

h264, ~10Mbit/sec, VBR
AAC, 44.1KHz, CBR

Wonderful, thanks - I found "720p.mov" in the project's contents.

Oh, okay, that's interesting.

What target bitrate will it be using? 320kbps? 128kbps?

You know the H.264 Gamma Bug? Does it occur when iMovie 'exports' in this way?
