"Cannot connect to iTunes Store" - iPhone 4

My iPhone 4 won't connect to iTunes (Sometimes it does, most of the time it won't). I have full signal strength on 3G network. I never had a problem connecting with my 3GS iPhone.

Anyone else on here having issues with connecting to ITunes Store (App store) via your new iPhone 4?

Also, I'm posting this message from my iPhone 4 now and it's taking a few tries because I keep getting the following message: "Cannot Open Page. Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found"

Wonder what's wrong??

Same here, my iTunes Store app just won't load at all. It'll stay in an infinite loading loop wiothout connecting. A post with a community advisor suggests a Restore, which is the obviouos last-ditch attempt, and without saying if it actually works as I haven't seen anyone try and have it solved yet...still rather annoying and all too frequent lately with Apple. Doesn't a new system update already do a Restore in any case?

Thanks dcecin for your solution. I tried everything else without results until I tried your solution "Setting>Safari>Block Cookies> change "From third parties and advertisers" to "Never"".

I am using an older iPhone with version 5.0. I cannot see the logic for this to work or why Safari would have a connection with the Apple store but it works.

I wanted to make this post in the hope others will try your solution and save themselves a lot of agony.

hello everyone ..,,, i am banging on this from atleast one month..

OK here is what works for me , im my case i was able to sign in through window's itunes but not from iphone.

first of all go to this link and change your apple id (by following steps it won't effect your previous purchases)

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5621 (don't forget to sign out of all features and services, also from mac or windows if you have itunes installed on it)

after changing your apple id , first sign in from windows or mac to itunes

then connect your iphone with itunes via usb

now try to sing in from iphone while connecting via usb.

And here you go.... 🙂 (i hope it will work for u all)

If you accessing on the following...here are the solutions

on Iphone:

Go to "Setting>Safari>Block Cookies> change "From third parties and advertisers" to "Never"".

If you are using PC (windows)

Check your browser if you can access the internet (for example Chrome), sometimes you need to change the Settings> Change Proxy Settings-> LAN Settings> Proxy Server (uncheck Use a proxy server).

Hope that helps.

Hi Wish555,

Often the message and situation you are describing -- "in-app purchase cannot be completed...contact iTunes store for assistance" -- is due to the payment or credit card information that Apple has on file for you either not working or needing to be updated.

Before stressing to much, I would check your iTunes account and verify that your payment/credit information is accurate and up-to-date and then re-try your in-app purchase.

To access iTunes payment account:

• Open iTunes on your PC/Mac

• Select "iTunes Store" located under "STORE" (usually found in the left-side window(s) selection area

• Make sure your in the "Home" area of the iTunes Store (Home button looks like a little house at the top of the iTunes app screen)

• On the right side of the Home screen there should be a list of links called "QUICK LINKS"

• Under this heading you should see the clickable "Account" link

• You may be asked for your iTunes Store/Apple login information and once you have entered that you should be taken to your main Account page where you can see your payment information at the top of the screen and other account options below.

If you're a visual learner, this may help navigate the iTunes Store and Account areas:User uploaded file http://note.io/19g2Dne

Best of luck!
