Samsung ML-2525W Series - "Printer offline"

I wrote to the customer support and they replied sending me this link

new versions of driver and smart panel are available, I tried...but still doesn't work!!
anybody had success?

Seriously... I cannot get this to work either. Really annoying. Hope Samsung can fix this quickly.

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me out with making this printer work.

I have done all, and I can only print the first work after installment on both usb and wifi. could you please send me the firmware and also explain to me once again how to make this printer work...

Why can't Samsung just put out a new driver? I am about to replace this printer instead of buying a new toner because of how annoying it is having to unplug my USB after every print job.

I had the same problem - the printer worked totally fine for a month, then after a longer pause while in europe (including some system updates...) i came back and the printer didn't work or only printed one page and i had to pull the cable and then the next. etc.

It is working NOW! I uninstalled the printer driver i had found somewhere and used the link that was posted in this thread and voila - i switched the printer in the prefs and it works now. wireless even 😉

I have the same problem. I have been trying to use it only as a USB printer and no amount of drivers from Samsung or Apple has made any difference.

Has anyone got it to work properly under USB?

I am about to give up and buy an HP.

I bought an HP Laserjet P2055DN. After unpacking and plugging in, total setup time about 20 seconds. Works perfectly with both machines.

I am so relieved to have dumped the Samsung. Never again...

download this driver, uninstall all the other drivers you have on your machine before installing this one.

this one will work with usb as well wireless.

the little samsung printer is a great printer - when it works, of course. The above driver works 😉

Tried uninstalling and downloading and installing all new drivers and updates. Nothing!

Just Called them, The guy brought me to site to download the 2 october 5 driver updates which do nothing! And department is closed for the day so call back tomorrow with a case number. Yay... Not. Had problems with this printer on a windows P.C. trying to get it to go wireless, never got that working, and now this on the mac. They better have a solution to this tomorrow as this is the last time Im dealing with this crap!

Just curious: who did you call, and what drivers did you download and install? It's unclear from your post. I understand how frustrating it is if something's not working, i went through it too. The driver though from Apple (see my last post) did it for me - mine's working again.

PS> I've bought the printer 6 months ago and it worked right out of the box, only after some system updates did it stop - until i found the new driver.
