3G data speed on iPhone 4 is painfully slow

Is anyone experiencing a real slowness in the 3G data speed on the iPhone 4? I had a friend race me to a website with a 3GS, and hers blew mine away. I'm even getting some disconnects when I try to hit a webpage... my friends with 3G's and 3GS's are fine...

I am experiencing ridiculously slow 3G connection speeds on the iPhone 4. Running tests, my ping times are in the 2000-2500 range. ****, sometimes I cant even run a full speed test while on 3G. I called ATT and they said that although there was no "official" word out on this, "because of all the 'activations' today, [at least according to this CS rep] she/they're seeing slow downs from all over the US".

The reception, signal, and data speed are slow.

Apple's Response: You're Holding It Wrong

AT&T's Response: Stop using your phone; only one at a time!

In fairness, Apple resolved my issue with the antenna signal thing. Thank you for the courtesy of people I spoke to at apple. I am satisfied with the solution they gave me.

But AT&T? What a joke

How did you go about setting up your new Iphone 4? Here is how I set mine up and have not had any of the issues I've been reading here. I activated the phone all was somewhat smooth I did get a server error which I contribute to the iOS4 downloads on Wednesday, I didn't restore my old iphone back to the new phone I sync'ed contact/calendars/and any photos I wanted. So none of the settings were brought over. I setup my email and Wi-Fi accounts up from scratch. I didn't put any of my old apps on the new phone until I checked their compatibility with the new iOS4. I hope this helps
