Can't buy APPS from my Iphone / Appstore

I also have the same problem (os 4 upgrade in iphone 3GS). I can buy through Itunes/App Store web but in iphone does not appear the option to buy.

For now, I haven't seen any answer for this (I have alerady post twice).

I have the same problem. I upgraded to iOS4 and can not purchase from the App Store anymore because there is no "Buy" button. I can't even download a FREE app because there is no "Free" button.

I can, though, purchase through iTunes without issue and transfer it to the phone fine.

My suggestion would be to go to Settings, Store, and check if your iPhone Apple Store account is current.

Also, I've never seen "BUY" button in the App Store. I always click on the price or "free" button, put in my password, and it downloads. But, of course, I only have experience with the USA Apple Store.

The other suggestion would be to do a hard reset of your iPhones. Just hold the Power and Home buttons until the Apple logo reappears.

Everything is fine concerning my iPhone Apple Store account. All the information is correct and I'm logged in fine.

Yes, I understand about clicking the Price or the word Free... thats the point, there is no "Price" or "Free" to click. The top right of the screen, where that is supposed to be, is blank.

I would prefer not to have to do a hard reset yet once again as my iPhone is jammed full and it takes forever to do it. If anyone has any idea of how to fix this, I would be eternally grateful 🙂 .

I have the same issue. Just my app to download apps is gone. Doesn't seem to be an answer anywhere in the discussion postings either.

After upgrade to ios4 i had the same problem - no button to install for free or buy. I've decided to reset iphone to factory settings, then synchronize contacts with address book of windows 7, then install all apps one by one. Now everything in appstore and itunes works fine! Firmware number is four. I think it was the only way to sort out this problem.

Did you try going into settings > store and signing off - then into the store again?

It may ask you to update your verify your billing information on the phone since its a new device. I had an issue with being able to make purchases.

The answer for me was to goto settings, and the Store option.

Sign-out of the store.

Sign-in and go through the verification process. Enter a valid, DIFFERENT credit card. You can always revert and change it back. There appears to be a bug with using a stored card.

This is perfect. A different credit card, even if from the same provider. Maybe you could try re-entering the same card number etc. just to get around the bug. If not, use another!
