How hot should a Macbook Pro run? And Fan RPM?

Hi, I just got my first Mac Book Pro (or any Mac for that matter). I see no vents and its kinda warm on my leg.

What is the average running tempature for this system and what is the average fan RPM?

Mine is :

Temp 34-37

Fan - around 2003RPM

Mine runs pretty hot, around 47-53C from when I'm not doing anything, to just lightly browsing the web. But if I do absolutely anything where flash is involved, even YouTube, it shoots up to 60 within 30 seconds.

I keep the fans set at 2600RPMs with FanControl, so when it gets above 50C the fans increase with the temp.

But wow, 34-37? What am I doing wrong?

It's not a "laptop". It is meant to be on a hard flat surface so air can circulate past the bottom of the case which is part of the heat dissipation design. My fans begin to speed up between 70 and 75 degrees C. At 85 degrees C they are at full speed.

The newer models are quite a bit cooler than the first generations. My MBP CD frequently runs at 100 celsius!
