Using iTunes to change file names of songs, not just tags

If i change the names of .wav songs in iTunes the actual file name changes to correspond in its folder. However, when i do this for mp3 songs the files stay the same and only the tag info is changed. Is there a way to set up iTunes so it also changes the file name of mp3 songs i alter in the program?
