Does your iphone 4 rattle?

Hello,
When I shake my iphone, there is a rattle around the micro sim area. Does anyone else seem to have this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I bought an iPhone 4 on the 30th June. I only noticed the rattle (around the camera / hold switch area) yesterday. My friend who also bought an iPhone recently did not experience this problem. I took my phone back to the store (along with my friend so that they could compare the phones) and showed them the problem. I was given a new replacement which doesn't rattle at all without any bother. This rattling problem seems to be quite common however I am 100% sure that it isn't supposed to be like that as some iPhones don't have it. Hope this helps.

Try putting your finger on the sleep/wake button. I could hear a rattle, but when I placed my finger on the sleep/wake button and shook it again, the rattle was no more 🙂

I just tried that and that is what it is. My wife's phone doesn't do it though. See my other reply further down

As a follow up, I had my Genius Bar appointment today to have the issue investigated. They were stumped. Took the back of the phone off and "thought" the ribbon for the Sleep/Wake button was loose. They tried three phones in the back of house and two out of three had the same rattle. After putting a bumper on one they claimed the rattle went away. I was already planning on purchasing a bumper, but do not think this will fix the issue. They did not swap the phone. However, they did state if the rattle gets worse, if I notice a decrease in functionality, or if it becomes a major annoyance, they will swap it out. For me, it is a nuisance, but I am done worrying about it. Everything works perfectly with the phone. I am going to install the screen protectors, put on the bumper, and be happy with my purchase!

hmm I have an iRattle also and I didn't download it from the app store. It seems to be the power button on mine that is loose, if I tap it, it iRattles, also have an iRattle with my home button. If I shake my iPhone4 it is has a very noticeable iRattle.

Whilst I'm on the subject, also my signal randomly disappears for about 10 seconds and then comes back and the voice quality and handsfree are know where near as good as my old 3G.

Last piece of junk I bought from apple looked like a clam shell.. hope this isn't going to be the same deal.

Why yes, my iPhone 4 32gb has the same rattle issues, and I assure you it is not one of the buttons. It feels a lot more like a loose gyro, no so much like a loose part, per say, but certainly a possibility. I have major proximity sensor problems, which were not solved by restoring and resetting the phone. I will be heading to the apple store all to soon, in hopes that they will have a replacement.

Of note, my wife's new iPhone 4 32gb does not have the rattle.
