Has to be a Iphone 3GS in order for the bluetooth keyboard to work. It will not work on a iphone 3G only the S model and the 3rd gen. ipod touch 32G or 64G version.
OK. I HAVE a 3GS iPhone with 4.0 loaded on it. Now can you please answer the question because there doesn't seem to be an answer anywhere that I can easily find online and according to the list of new features in this OS, it is possible. Thank you.
It meaning the Apple wireless keyboard has to be the two AA battery type keyboard in order to pair with the IPhone 3GS. To get the keyboard into the pair mode you hold the on off switch on until it starts to quickly blink or flash. Make sure the keyboard is not paired with any other Apple device, such as another Apple computer, Ipod touch, etc. It will then ask you to type in a passcode and when you do it will connect.
Thank you for the information. That is ridiculous that you cannot pair one keyboard with a home Mac as well as with an iPhone/iPodT/iPad. Who would use two keyboards for this? I certainly won't. Apple should provide this functionality in the form an update to the keyboard in my opinion.
