i broke my ipod =[

okay so something got stuck in the little slot where you plug in the charger and i was using a pencil to get it out. my dog jumped over my hand and hit the pencil so it snapped the little bar inside in half...
now my ipod wont charge. is there anyway apple can fix this if i take it in to them? any input is welcomed
