Using VLC with Tiger

Dear All

I have a 2007 white Macbook. I downloaded VLC version 1.1 ?? but it will not open. Is there a way around this please, or is there a version of VLC that will work?

Apparently VLC dropped support for Tiger a year ago:

I haven't found an old version, but try googling.

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html has Tiger versions, Universal, Intel, & PPC - choose intel for a macbook.
