Web pages and videos don't load smoothly after I reformatted my hard drive.

I reformatted my MacBook hard drive 4 days ago, then the internet didn't run smoothly in my MacBook. If I typed in an internet address, my Safari would freeze for 10 seconds. Most videos also had problems loading in my Safari. I checked my internet upload and download speeds, and those are normal. What can go wrong with my MacBook? How can I fix it?
