When you write "in the Finder", do you mean on the "sidebar" of a Finder window? And what do you mean by "the icon in Mac HD and the Finder"? Are these two different places?

I can think of two ways to restore the Desktop icon to the Finder's sidebar: (a) Open Finder's preferences, select the "Sidebar" icon in the toolbar, then check "Desktop" under "Places". (b) In a Finder window click on your home folder in the sidebar. You should see "Desktop" in the main part of the window. Drag that to the "Places" part of the sidebar.
