iTunes Crashes Everytime I Try to Sync Music to My iPod

Hey,
I have a question and need a solution.
iTunes crashes everytime I try to sync my music to my iPod.
I have tried uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling, rebooting, I've reset my iPod Touch to factory default twice even. Nothing has worked. I finally resorted to asking someone here about it and hopefully will get an answer. If not I will call Apple tech support.
I do not think it is a problem with Quicktime, and I have not uninstalled and reinstalled that yet. I have no podcasts or videos on my iPod.
My version of iTunes is up-to-date and my iPod Touch OS is 4.0

so, now i have tried plugging in my iTouch, and surprise surprise, NOTHING happens. it's like not even recognizing that I have plugged it in. So now it won't even charge...too bad I already updated both my puters with this new itunes patch...dang I better warn my friends.....

Having same problems running windows7 Ipod video gets about a 3rd the way synced then crashes. They need to fix this soon.

Same Porblem. I try to sync my ipod, and befor it gets done "verifying my ipod" itunes locks up, and I have to ctrl-alt-del to shut it down

I had the same freezing problem, and it just stopped out of nowhere. Then it started crashing again.

Ya not sure what im supposed to do. Im trying to sync 5k songs am I supposed to watch everyone and figure out when it crashes? There is no crash log from what I can tell. This is a pain in the a**.

Ya if I try to downgrade itunes I think that would just cause more problems.

I tried downgrading, that didn't help because it said my iTunes library was made with a newer version of iTunes.

Yea I figured that would happen. I tried to run mp3val to "fix" all my mp3s and still no joy.

I was able to get mine to work after waiting 20 mins once it froze up. However, after this hassle, I'm seriously considering switching over to a new music management software. Apple is getting too big for it's britches.

Mine doesn't freeze up it crashes. What are some good alternative programs to get music on to ipods? PC side.

Hi,

I am currently using Windows 7. In order to upgrade my iphone 3GS' OS to iOS4, I upgraded my itunes to v9.

However, after upgrading it, I was unable to sync my iphone. Itunes could start normally. However, the problem comes when i hooked my iphone 3GS up to itunes.

Then an error message "MobileDeviceHelper has an error...."

Any ideas what is happening or anyone has any solutions?

Or do we wait for Apple to fix it?

You could try reinstalling iTunes for that, that's all I can think of that would work.
