IOS 4 Download times out

IOS 4 Download times out

I am trying to download IOS 4 for my Iphone 3GS.
It start to download and then after about 10 mins it comes up, Download has timed out check network connections.

Does anyone know how to get around this or is anyone else having the same problem?

Iphone 3GS, iPhone OS 3.1.3

Welcome to the discussions,
did you check your security software settings to make sure your computer can contact Apple during the download process?

I had same problem. And it was solved when I turned my firewall and antivirus off. I don't know which one was causing problems but it helps. After intalling iOS 4.0 I turned them on again and everything works properly.
