Contacting apple with new product idea

I have an idea for a new product for apple and was just wondering if anyone knew a way of contacting them apart from the unsolicited ideas page. I am not prepared to give them this idea for free, seeing as they could make millions and millions of dollars off the back off it. I can see this idea being able to be sold for around $500 - $800 in america or £500 - £750 in the UK. The people that this idea is aimed at would be willing to spend that amount of money because they spend more on other things that go with this new idea. No new technology is needed everything already exists and just needs putting together

It is totally original and there is a market out there already for it. The market already exists and would be really easy to break into as there is not one major player in this specific market.

Any help would be great

If you're not willing to give them your idea, then there is no way to contact them. As that page you reference says, Apple does not accept unsolicited ideas due to the many legal implications involved and so will not even listen. I would suggest you develop a business plan and approach a venture capital firm and develop the idea on your own.

Regards.

If the idea is that good, run with it yourself, wait for Apple to steal the idea and then sue them.

And that is exactly why Apple doesn't listen to unsolicited ideas, the fear that a very rough idea will be presented, Apple rejects it, but will in the future develops some other method that bears a vague resemblance to the original idea and the person who first mentioned the idea sues.

So, Chopper, you do indeed need to give this notion up. Either just send your feedback to Apple, develop your own company or approach some other company to develop your idea, or just drop it. Apple will not listen to you.

Regards.

I am willing to give them my idea, but if it turns out to be a good viable idea then I dont think it unreasonable to get something back in return, I'm not the kind of person who is looking millions of dollars for it, but am unwilling to give them my idea so they can make millions off the back of my idea and i get bugger all in return. The thing is that there would be no legal implications involved as it is a product out there already that at least 50 other companies already make but with a apple twist to it.

Dave was on the right track. You need to prepare a thorough presentation and put on your business suit and make an appointment with the appropriate person. Try calling Apple and talking to someone who could lead you in the right direction, usually best bet is a good receptionist or secretary.
Base Point: Do Your Homework. If you look and act professional, you will be taken seriously. Not just some guy off the street just saying 'try this'.

If it's an idea that's "already that at least 50 other companies already make", then the chances of them paying you for the idea are vanishingly small. Regardless, again, Apple will not even listen to your idea, as their "unsolicited idea" page clearly states. So there's no way for you to submit your idea to Apple unless you want to give it to them freely, with no expectation of remuneration, via the Feedback page.
