14 days or 30 days?

You do know that the screen goes black when your on a call because of the proximity sensor right?

I don't think they will accept a return because you are suffering buyer's remorse

i believe (in California, at least) you have 14 days to return, for any reason. if they give you a hard time, just mention that you get no service at your home. I think you might have to pay a 10% restocking fee.

If you were at AT&T customer before, just EBay the phone for like $800 or so and stay with the contract and use your old phone

Look up the return policy of where you bought it. Most likely, you will have to pay a 10% restocking fee.

You do know that there is a little bit more to the phone than just better video? Are you also aware that the screen is supposed to go black when you're on a call?

It sounds like it's working like all other iPhone's on the planet.

Why wouldn't you want the screen to go black when you put the phone up to your ear?

Your phone is working as programmed. You do not need the display on when it is next to your ear. That would waste battery on something you don't see anyway.

When you pull back the screen turns on so you can see it.

You have 30 days (with your carrier) to return it no questions asked. This applies to CA residents only.
If you call customer service they will tell you that you only have 14 days but if you tell them 'i'm in California and I know i have 30 days' then they will change their tone and assist you. I know this from personal experience. They tried pulling that on me. But I DO read the fine print.
