"The iTunes Store could not process your request, please try again later."

Two things...
(1) This is a run-on sentence. You'd think Apple would have someone proofread their error messages. The irony of an error in an error message is... icky.

(2) Why do I keep getting this, for days, when I try to download the updates iTunes says are there for my Apps?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

I'm actually encountering a similar issue. Whenever I try to download certain music or movies I get the message "Could not complete the Itunes Store request. The store may be busy. (Check your internet connection or try again later)." My internet connection is fine and I have tried at multiple time in the day and I still receive the same results.

Me Too!

For about a month now I have been unable to perform any App updates via itunes on my imac. I have had several suggestions from Apple .. none or which work. These included deleting all apps and then reloading(syncing) them from my iphone.... but as soon as I hit the "x updates available" I get the error described above.

This seemed to kick in after I upgraded to itunes 9.2 and despite Apple telling me it is a problem with some App, my gut feel says its something else... the error comes up the instant I hit the update button.. feeling pretty hacked off now as I'm thinking about a restore of my machine from a month ago! 😟

As mentioned by Jaac811 .. I know I have a perfectly ok internet connection .. in fact I can download new apps and music ok.

Be really interested to hear if anyone has made any progress on this at all as i'm drawing a blank with Apple.

Well, it sounds like we are all having the same problem. For me, upgrading from 10.5 to 10.6 did not help. I'm not sure if this problem started before or after I upgrading iTunes to 9.2...

I'm not sure what other App might be causing the problem. One thing to look into is anything that monitors/protects your internet connection, such as LittleSnitch or Intego NetMonitor, or (goddess forbid) something from Norton. If you have anything like that installed, try disabling it and then doing the updates in iTunes.

Hmm .... well I upgraded to 10.6.4 and still have this problem (Apps awaiting update has now reached 36!!) Not only this but system preferences>accounts is now unusable and crashes every time its opened.

Anyway ... 10.6.4 has not fixed the problem (a combo update)
good point to try internet barrier .. disabled mine .. still got the problem

ho hum!

I have been on OSX since 10.1 and been really happy with the lack of hassle ... since 10.6.3 I am seeing increasing number of issues .. reminds me of my unhappy days on windows 😟

If I do discover anything i'll post back - but am not hopeful unfortunately ... thanks for responding
