Changing hyperlink text color?

Hi--

Is there a way to change the default color of active hyperlinks in a Pages '09 document? (The a:link style's text color, if I were working in HTML.)

If I select a hyperlink and change the text color, it doesn't seem to register, and I don't see a "Hyperlink" style in my styles drawer.

Thanks!

Hi Peggy--

Thanks, but that's not doing it for me. The formatting bar functions the same as the Inspector: the selected color in the "inkwell" changes, but the text itself doesn't. I've tried selecting the entire link text and part of it, with hyperlinks active and inactive.... same results.

I'm wondering if it's because this is a hyperlink displayed within a footnote? (Changing the color of the "Footnote" style changes the non-hyperlink text in the note, but not the hyperlink.)

AHA! 🙂

I don't know why this works, but it did:

1. Click near the link and arrow the cursor into it.
2. UN-check "Enable as a hyperlink" in the Inspector. (Text turns black.)
3. RE-check "Enable as a hyperlink." (Text turns blue.)
4. Change the color with no problem.

Thanks, all, for your suggestions!

(Now, if I could just figure out how to change ALL hyperlinks in the document simultaneously!) 😉

I wish I new what is the problem. HAve you deleted the plist file as Yvan suggested? You have to close Pages first and start it again after you deleted the plist file.

Yvan, I could have several colours!

I assumes that you used the tip described by the OP because when the link is identified as a link by the app, every click in it open the Web page.

No, I didn't. I just made sure I didn't have the pointing fist but the insertion point when selecting parts of the Url.
I tried to reproduce it now but this time I had problems using the drag to select method. What does work is inserting the Insertion point before or after the Url and move it with the arrow keys into the Url. Then for selecting hold down the Shift key and continue moving the insertion point with the arrow key.
